Our philosophy is that there is not enough time in the day for laughter. Walk away from your desk, postpone your visit to your mother in the nursing home, find your sanity and come on down to forget the world for awhile. With a back bar and bar top that is over 100 years old, this place smells of history-and a few other odors, too. We recycled both stately wood structures from the Hatley Hotel, which closed in the 1960's. They may remind you slightly of "The Shining" bar scene, but mostly the look is elegantly cool. We are also working on the world's largest ball of twine out back, but right now it's not so cool...

It's not all about the ancient because of our love of the coldest and cleanest beer. We took the best of really old bar fixtures (the owners), and blended it with the best of the new with our high tech tap system.

If anyone reading this has stayed at the Hatley Hotel, congratulations. You are officially the oldest person on the Internet.
